2012 Gibson F12G Mandolin – SOLD

The 2012 Gibson F‑12 G is  an experimental variant that merged the mahogany neck aesthetic of the F‑12 with an F‑style G body, likely born out of Gibson’s creative freedom under OAI management in that time period. This iteration would nod to the 1950s F‑12 while offering unique tonal and playability characteristics. There were no more than 4 of these ever built. This build delivers the projection, responsiveness, and elegance sought by discerning mandolin players—equally suited for stage, studio, or lifelong collection.
