All of our mandolin straps are made on the Pine Ridge reservation, South Dakota USA. Each of our braided straps use Elk hide exclusively and are hand braided by a member of the Lakota Sioux Nation. We use Elk hide because it is softer and stronger than any other leather. Now with center cord to reduce stretching. We purchased these on clearance as part of Lakota discontinuing this color offering and are passing the deal to you!
