Epiphone Earl Scruggs Golden Deluxe Banjo & Hardshell Case

Earl Scruggs (1924 –2012) popularized a three-finger banjo picking style, now called “Scruggs style,” which is a defining characteristic of bluegrass music. This model is inspired by Scruggs’ 1930’s Gibson banjo which was reissued bearing his name for many years until the craftory was ravaged by the Nashville Flood of 2010 when Gibson ceased banjo production. Now players can get this more accessible model at a fraction of what the vintage Gibson sells for. Epiphone is BACK making banjos again – high quality, and accessible! Features include 3-ply maple resonator, 3-ply maple rim, Gold hardware, scale: 26.4”, Ebony fretboard with Hearts and Flowers MOP inlay. Remo 11” Frosted Head, Bone nut, and included hard case. This model is also equipped with Gibson Earl Scruggs signature banjo strings.
