This 11/6/89 #497 built Bob Givens F-5 model sounds amazing. And is in fantastic shape great. When this mandolin arrived it was in some need of some new frets. So we sent the mandolin to Bruce Weber for a re-fret. It turned out fantastic. This mandolin is flat out amazing. Bob Givens built relatively few F-5 models compared to the various A-models he produced.These F-5’s built with master grade Maple, red-gold sunburst and elaborate handcut inlays are especially rare, with estimates of perhaps only around 30 pieces made between about 1986 and the end of 1992.
